Antoinette M. Cassano, 60, of Villa Grove passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her home in Villa Grove.
Toni was born to Joseph and Kathy (Lupo) Cassano on January 11, 1965 in Chicago.
She is survived by her other half, Don Black; four children, Kasey Crane, Alexis Cassano, Brandy Black, and Dawn Peterson; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Christina Nakashian; and one niece, Amber Wolters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Kathy Cassano; and one daughter, Holly Cassano.
Toni was an amazing lady who loved all animals. She was a hard worker who would do anything to make sure her family had what they needed. She held many jobs throughout her life, but her favorite was being the manager of the Villa Grove Dollar General; her co-workers there were like family to her. She was also a member of the First Christian Church in Villa Grove.
Toni was always so grateful for the Champaign County Sherrif’s Office time and effort they put into solving her daughter’s murder case. She thought of them as her hero’s and extended family members as well.
Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the First Christian Church in Villa Grove. Funeral service will follow immediately after also at the church. Pastor Mike Zylstra will be officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Douglas County Humane Society in Tuscola.
