Bill “Brillo” D. Scott, 66, of Villa Grove passed away at his home on Monday, September 18, 2023.

Bill was born to Chester and Betty (Parsons) Scott on July 2, 1957 in Monticello, IL. He married Candice Mattlin on June 28, 1986 in Auburn, IN.

He is survived by his wife, Candi Scott of Villa Grove; three children, Delanie (Jason) Menacher of Monticello, Jay (Kristin) Goff of Sidney, and Cale (Ashley) Scott of Auburn, IN; 10 grandchildren, Brendan Menacher, Camryn Menacher, Seth Menacher, Avery Menacher, Kadence Goff, Makayla Goff, Bryson Scott, Gerik Scott, Kinley Scott, and Rowan Scott; 2 sisters; 1 brother; and six fur babies that he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Betty Scott.

Bill was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved to spend his free time fishing anywhere where the fish were biting.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be at 3pm on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the Forest Preserve Floral Hall in Monticello, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses, National Kidney Foundation, or to the American Diabetes Association.
