Brian R. LaPayne

Brian R. LaPayne, 63, of Urbana passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Carle Hospital in Urbana due to a brain aneurysm.

Brian was born to Rex and Marcella (Ryan) LaPayne on March 14, 1960 in Peoria, IL. 

He is survived by his mother, Marcella Fritch; five siblings, Brad LaPayne, Susie DeWolfe, Bert LaPayne, Bruce LaPayne, and Andy Fritch; several nieces and nephews; and one special niece, Mara LaPayne, who would visit with him every Wednesday. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Rex LaPayne; step father, George Fritch; two step brothers, Michael and Joseph Fritch; and one sister-in-law, Stella LaPayne (Rund).

Brian worked at Rogards in Champaign for a few years and then went to work at Michaels’ Catering for over 15 years before he retired.  He enjoyed riding his bike around town and his Camaro which he was very proud of.  Brian was a kind, do anything for you guy and was always there to lend a helping hand when it was needed. 

Services for Brian will be held at a later date, and burial will take place at St. Dominic Cemetery in Wyoming, IL.
