Carl A. Cox

Carl A. Cox, 63, of Newman passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at his residence.

Carl was born on September 7, 1958 in Champaign to Norman and Juanita (Willard) Cox.

He is survived by three children, Greg (Stephanie) Cox, Toni (Joe) Grahm, and Carlina (Brandon) Bierman; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and 5 siblings, Pat Cox, Mike Cox, Cindy Cox, Becky Cox, and Amber Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Juanita Cox; and three sisters, Coleen, Lisa, and Tina.

Carl enjoyed fishing anywhere he could find a pond or lake, but most of all he loved spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Joines Funeral Home (Newman) with Pastor Bob Goebel officiating.  A visitation will be held an hour prior (1-2p.m.) before the memorial service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
