Charles P. Eisenmenger, 66, of Pesotum passed away at his home on Saturday, December 14, 2024. He was born on September 19, 1958 in Urbana to Bernard and Geraldine (Hettinger) Eisenmenger.
Chuck is survived by five siblings, Richard (Rita) Eisenmenger, John (Marian) Eisenmenger, Bernie (Paula) Eisenmenger, Helen (Bruce) Purcell, and Jeannine Eisenmenger; one step brother, Jeff (Janelle) Bushell; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Geraldine Eisenmenger; one brother, Robert Eisenmenger; one sister, Mary Zahnd; and one brother-in-law, Terry Zahnd.
Chuck graduated from Villa Grove High School in 1976 and spent the majority of his life as a farmer and local grave digger. Chuck enjoyed being outside, especially in his later years as he loved to walk around town. He was a pitcher for a fast pitch softball team in Villa Grove for several years as well. When he wasn’t outside, he enjoyed watching Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Illinois sports on TV.
Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church rural Pesotum with Father Keith Walder officiating; burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the visitation (9 am – 11 am) also at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
