Obituary
Charles J. Sailor, 92, of Villa Grove died on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana.
Charles was born on August 15, 1929 in Mishawaka, IN to James and Pearl (Anderson) Sailor. He married Lois (Nifong) Sailor on March 29, 1958 in Mishawaka, IN.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Sailor; two children, Craig (Debra) Sailor and June (John) Sailor-O’Day; three grandchildren, Damon (Leanna) Allen, Shane O’Day, and Kyle O’Day; and one great-grandchild, Raegen Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Pear Sailor; four brothers; and one sister.
Charles served four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He loved listening to music, and was very talented when it came to keyboard instruments. He could listen to a song one time and then could immediately play it on the piano. He was a big Notre Dame football fan and enjoyed going to their games to watch them play. He was also big into fitness and exercising.
