Dale Burnett, 74, a lifelong resident of Villa Grove passed away at home on Monday, July 31, 2023. Dale was born on February 19, 1949, at Jarman Memorial Hospital in Tuscola, Illinois. He was the son of Wayne and Erma (Snider) Burnett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Darrell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, of 52 years. He is also survived by his five sons Cory (Sara), Chad (Brandi), Jeff (Tabitha), Ryan (Molly), and Zach. Dale was loved wholeheartedly by his ten grandchildren Abigail, Crayton, Kennedi, Addison, Brady, Luke, Quinten, Cayden, Bronson, and Liam.
Dale served his country proudly in the Illinois National Guard. After graduating from Eastern Illinois University, Dale returned to Villa Grove where he taught, coached, and served the Villa Grove school district for over 30 years.
Dale has impacted so many lives. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, friend, neighbor, teacher, and Christian.
The visitation will be at Joines Funeral Home in Villa Grove, IL, on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 10:00 am -12:00 pm. Graveside services will be immediately following at the Villa Grove Cemetery.
