Dale Kincaid, 94, of Newman, IL passed away peacefully at his home on May 10, 2024.
Dale was born March 30, 1930, to Ray and Nellie Kincaid at home on their farm. After Nellie passed away in 1940, Ray remarried to Marie Jewel.
Dale was a Korean War veteran and a 50-year member of the American Legion.
He married Judy Graham of Alvin, IL on July 19, 1963.
Dale actively farmed for 55 years, starting his farming with horses and seeing the progress of modern machinery. He tilledthe same ground that his great grandmother did with her team of oxen, Jolly and Bright. He was a steward of both the soil and family history and often enjoyed telling people that he slept in the bedroom where he was born.
Survivors include his wife Judy, daughter Jill (Steve) Mayes of Bloomington; daughter Lynn Kincaid of Champaign; son Todd (Lisa) Kincaid of Urbana; and two grandchildren, Caleb and Madeline.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepmother, and one brother, Edgar Kincaid.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. on May 15, 2024, at the Joines Funeral Home in Newman, IL, with Pastor Bryan Scott of Twin City Bible Church officiating. Burial will be at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. The visitation will be an hour before the funeral service.
