Delores Jane Adcock, 84, of Tuscola (formerly of Newman) passed away peacefully on Monday September 2, 2024 at Carle Hospital in Urbana.
Jane was born to Allen and Nadene (Mardis) Cochran on September 3, 1939. She married Richard Adcock on August 4, 1957 and would spend 57 years together before his passing in 2015.
Also preceding her in death was her father, Allen Cochran; and one brother, Don Cochran.
She is survived by her mother, Nadene Cochran; two children, Lesa (James) Young and Lee (Gena) Adcock; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Michelle) Young, Jessica (Logan) Ross, and Ashley (Larry Price) Young; and three great-grandchildren, Jack Young, Scarlett Young, and Henry Ross.
Throughout her life, Jane loved to travel and be outdoors. When her children were growing up, they spent a lot of time as a family on Lake Shafer in Monticello, Indiana, where they enjoyed boating and making memories. When her children were older, Dick and Jane relocated to Greenville, South Carolina. After retirement, Dick and Jane joined a motorhome club and traveled around South Carolina with a group of close friends. Jane was always happy and positive and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. It was always a special time when Jane was able to show off her great-grandchildren to her friends at the Brookstone Estates. Jane lived a full, long life and was able to have her mother with her for its entirety. Jane’s mother, Nadene, is 105-years-old and one of Jane’s favorite outings was going to visit her mom.
Private family services will be held.
