Doris Black, 85, of Tuscola was born on February 9, 1940 and went to meet her Lord and Savior on March 8, 2025. Doris passed away at Haven of Tuscola, in Hospice Care.
Doris married Lawrence Ray Stebbins Sr. Of Villa Grove and had two daughters; Mary Jane Stebbins Finke and Lisa Lynn Simmons. She later married Walter Baker of Biloxi Mississippi and then Russell Black of Villa Grove.
She was proceeded in death by her parents William Clifford and Pauline Joy Williams Utterback, her sister Rosemary Utterback, her husband Lawrence Ray Stebbins Sr., and her 2 daughters Mary Jane Finke and Lisa Lynn Simmons. Her sister Ruth passed away August 7, 2025. She is survived by grandchildren Sarah White of Villa Grove, Elizabeth Garcia of Salt Lake City, Utah, Laura Finke, Joshua Stebbins of Springfield, Brandi Simmons of Champaign, Hailey Simmons, and O.J. Simmons of Champaign. She has great-grandchildren and nieces who will miss her greatly.
Doris graduated from Villa Grove High School and worked for many years at Kraft Foods in Champaign. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Villa Grove. Doris loved animals and had many beloved pets.
