Ethan T. Williams, 28, of Villa Grove passed away at his home on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
Ethan was born on February 19, 1997 to Ric and Debbie (Meserve) Williams in Modesto, CA.
He is survived by his loving parents, Ric and Debbie Williams, his children, Jayden Williams (10), Vaia Brownfield (5), and Lehlani Harp (4); a niece, Emma Meserve (11); and several close friends and a few he considered best friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Leroy Meserve.
Ethan went to Villa Grove Schools and played all sports throughout his years there. He played soccer in his younger years, and moved on to playing baseball, football, basketball, and ran track as well. He always enjoyed all sports and the competition that came with it, but his favorite was basketball. The love of basketball stayed with him as he got older and he got to share it with his first-born Jayden. Ethan cherished the time playing basketball with his son.
When Ethan wanted to settle his mind his favorite thing to do was what he called chasing sunsets. He and his mom would get in a vehicle and drive around in the country during sunsets until they were lost all awhile listening to their favorite music. Ethan would even make his mom stop the car randomly just so he could get out to take a picture of the sunset.
Ethan was an avid music listener and enjoyed classic country, rock, and most of all rap. He shared this love for music with his dad. Whenever Ethan would find a new song he liked or would hear a certain song that brought back a memory, he would send it to his dad so he could listen to it too.
Later in Ethans life he moved to Utah where he found a place that felt like he truly belonged. He loved all the beautiful scenery, going on hiking trails, and exploring caves. He found a brotherhood there and was truly happy. Ethan had a great heart and was always willing to bring someone into his home that needed help. He will be missed by all his family and friends.
A private celebration of Ethan's life will be held.
