Gail A. Burnett-Moseley, 68, of Urbana passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Carle Hospital in Urbana.
Gail was born on June 23, 1956 in Champaign to Mark and Barbara (Watson) Burnett.
She is survived by two children, Aaron (Terri) Burnett of Tuscola and Laura (Brian) Minor of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren, Austin Burnett of Brighton, MI, Lucas Burnett of Tuscola, Baylee Minor, Briara Minor, Brian Minor Jr., and Alex Moseley all of St. Louis; three great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Jan Ellen Martin of Camargo and Steve (Kim) Burnett of Urbana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark Burnett and Barbara Watson; and two brothers, James “Jimmy” Burnett and Dave Burnett.
Gail attended Villa Grove High School most of her childhood, but graduated from Unity High School in Tolono. Gail was a music lover and had a love for all animals; especially cats. She had a caring heart and always was willing to lend a helping hand to others in need. One of her greatest joys was taking care of others.
A celebration of Gail’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Joines Funeral Home in Villa Grove.
Memorial donations may be made to the Champaign County Humane Society.
