Gregory G. Luth

Gregory G. Luth, 71, of Newman passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Carle Hospital in Urbana.

Greg was born on November 24, 1951 in Champaign to Eugene and Helen (Wienke) Luth.  He married Connie McDade on June 26, 2011 in Broadlands.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Luth; two children, Tammy Grafton and Ed Luth; two stepchildren, Melissa (Blake) Good and Brian Biddle; four grandchildren, Elle Marie Luth, Emma Gene Luth,  Landin James Luth, and Christopher Shayne Luth; six step grandchildren, Rylan Blake Good, Lauren Elise Good, Elle Elisabeth Good, Jackson Craig Biddle, Carter Bradley Biddle, and Brynlee Anne Biddle; one great-grandchild, Emmett Dean Tracy; one brother, Geof (Judy) Luth; two nieces, Jessica (Scott) Armstrong and Courtney (Keven) Luth; and one brother-in-law, Mark (Karie) McDade.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Helen Luth and his first wife Melissa Smith.

Greg was a farmer in the Newman area since 1972. In his free time he loved to read, keep a close eye on the weather, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.  Greg had the ability to keep everyone laughing with his ability to tell great stories. He was also a member of the Broadlands Immanuel Lutheran Church.

The visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 11:30  a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the Broadlands Immanuel Lutheran Church with the funeral service beginning at 11:30 a.m.; Pastor John Sharp will be officiating.  Burial will follow at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
