John M. Bosch

John Michael Bosch, age 91, of Newman, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on December 28th 2025.

John was born on November 14, 1934 in Newman to Anthony and Emmeline (Rund) Bosch, who preceded him in death.

John married Marlene (Hinds) Bosch on February 1st, 1964 in Hume IL. Together they shared 61 years of marriage and built a life centered on family, hard work and laughter. She survives him. Also surviving are sons, Timothy (Kara) Bosch and Jason (Jill) Bosch. Grandchildren Cody (Shelby) Bosch, Lucas (Grace) Bosch and Mara Bosch. Great-grandchildren Savannah, John and Olivia Bosch all of Newman and one sister Bette Casey.

He was preceded in death by his precious daughters Stephanie and Stacey Bosch. Also preceding him are brothers Joseph Bosch, Bernard Bosch and sisters Mary Hickel and Gertrude Fox.

John grew up on the family farm in Newman, served his country in the United States Army and returned home to Newman where he spent his life farming with his sons and grandsons. He was known for his strong work ethic and his commitment to building his family legacy.

A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, John cherished time spent with his family and friends. He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers fan and was always willing to bet someone a drink on his teams. He enjoyed playing cards, golfing, and sharing stories. He will be remembered for his remarkable sense of humor and warm spirit.

Services will be held on Monday, January 5th, 2026 at Joines Funeral Home in Newman, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with the funeral immediately following.  Burial will be at the Newman Cemetery.
