Joyce Amber Wilson

Joyce Amber Wilson, 73, of Urbana passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at her home.

Amber was born on November 11, 1948 in Chicago to Norman and Juanita (Willard) Cox.  She married Gary Wilson on June 7, 1968 in Tuscola; he survives.

Also surviving is one son, Gary "Skip" (Vicki) Wilson Jr.; seven grandchildren, Beth Hamilton, Chelsi Wilson (Brandon Knerr), Justin Wilson, Hanna (Sean) Hood, Dakota (Cayla) Delaney, Bryce Wilson, and Gabrielle Wilson (Levi Reed); 14 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Michael (Christa) Cox, Patrick (Joyce) Cox, Cindy Cox, and Rebecca Cox; and one daughter in law, Jaelene Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Tony Wilson, and four siblings

Amber enjoyed ceramics, sewing, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.  Most of all she loved her family and loved to spend time with them.

A visitation will be held from   6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Joines Funeral Home (Newman).  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, IL; pastor Mike Zylstra will be officiating.
