Judith A. Westray, 82, of Villa Grove passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Arthur Nursing Home.
Judie was born on July 10, 1942 in Clinton, IL to Leonerd and Mildred (Rainwater) Clifton. She married Ralph Westray on December 13, 1959 in Clinton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ralph Westray; her parents, Leonerd and Mildred Clifton; and two sons, Jonathon and Shawn Westray.
She is survived by her son, Donn (Karla) Westray; grandchildren, Amy (Greg) Ray, Jonn Westray, and Earvin (Colleen) Westray; great-grandchildren, Dallin, Olivia, Savannah, Easton, Tucker, and Zayne; sister, Sue; and brother-in-law; Shannon (Lou) Westray.
Judie graduated from Farmer City High School in 1960. She worked at GE in Decatur for several years, and then Save A lot also in Decatur. In 1982 Judie and Ralph moved to Villa Grove and started their own business called JR’s Lounge which is still in business today.
Judie enjoyed painting ceramics, off track betting, and loved watching old westerns. She was a people person and loved everyone and all dogs.
A celebration of Judie and Ralph’s life will start at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at JR’s Lounge in Villa Grove.
