Karen was a faithful member of the Living Hope Fellowship Church in Villa Grove. She loved teaching others especially children about the Bible and spent years directing Vacation Bible School not only at Living Hope Fellowship but also at the Hugo Church. Her church family was just as important to her as her own family and volunteered in any way she could. Karen was a homemaker and at times would work for her dad's business at John Kenny Home Construction. She loved her children and grandchildren immensely and spent hours volunteering in the classroom throughout the years. She was both a Girl Scout Leader and Boy Scout Leader which led her on some great adventures. She loved to take family vacations and traveled to many places across the United States. Her favorite spot was anywhere with a beach and Palm trees. She found peace and solitude in the ocean and collected treasures from her travels.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Karen will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. There wasn't anything that made her happier than when she was spending time with her kids and grandkids.
