Obituary
Kurt E. Teter, 41, of Villa Grove passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at the Carle Hospital in Urbana.
Kurt was born on June 29, 1981 in Urbana to Gregory Teter and Barbara (Ashworth) Reifsteck. He married Amber Taylor on October 24, 2014 in Penfield, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Amber Teter; his mother, Barbara Reifsteck; five children, Corbin, Alisa, Shaianne, Paisley, and Taygen; six siblings, Cory, John, Amanda, Lacey, Kari, and Jerry; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Teter; step-father, Jerry; and two sisters, Lisa and Joni.
Kurt enjoyed fishing, being around a bonfire, and cooking for his family and friends. He loved all animals and was known to bring home random animals as pets until he was made to put them back outside. He also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed pulling a prank or two. Kurt worked construction, was a chef, but overall, he was a family man. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be announced by the family.
