Loletta K. Stroud

Loletta K. Stroud, 83, of Villa Grove passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at her home.

She was born to Edford E. Stroud and Bertha M. Lindsey on October 29, 1942 in French Lick, IN.

She is survived by her children, Curtis (Kerry) Beaty, Catrina (Tim) Akers, and Austin (Amy) Crawford; sister, Mona Hammons; half-sister, Nancy Beaty; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, several half-sisters, her companion Milo Shriver, granddaughter Brittany D. Cordes, and great-grandson Kaiden Simpson.

Loletta graduated from French Lick High School in Indiana and worked as a retail worker for many years, and then went on to work at a grocery store as a cashier.  She loved to crochet, play with her great-grandchildren, loved to go and watch the races, to bake, and enjoyed taking rides in the golf cart around town. 

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Centennial Cemetery in Villa Grove.  Pastor Lenny Summar will be officiating.
