Marlene R. Millsap

Marlene R. Millsap, 80, of Villa Grove passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Marlene was born in Tuscola, IL to Thomas and Florence (Taylor) Tuttle on March 29, 1943.  She married James W. Millsap on April 6, 1962 in Villa Grove.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jim Millsap; two children, Marcia (Bryan) Cornwell and Mark (Mindy) Millsap; seven grandchildren, Michael Millsap, Hali Millsap, Landyn Millsap, Harper Millsap, Kash Millsap, Kiecia Millsap, and Mason Cagle; one great-granddaughter, Alivia Cagle; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Florence Tuttle; and one brother, Sunney Tuttle.

Marlene attended ABL High School in Broadlands but spent her senior year and graduated from Villa Grove High School in 1961.  Marlene loved to be outside spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed camping, boating, water skiing, and fishing wherever the fish were biting.  She was also a member of the Victory Church in Camargo.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the Joines Funeral Home in Villa Grove with the visitation an hour prior (1 p.m. – 2 p.m.); Pastor Duane Piercy will be officiating.  Burial will follow the funeral service at the Villa Grove Cemetery.
