Mary M. Sulga, 102, of Villa Grove passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at her home.
Mary was born on March 23, 1919 in Parsons, KS to Bert and M. Ethel (Greger) Johnson. She married John J. Sulga on June 28, 1944 in Danville.
She is survived by her son John Sulga.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and M. Ethel Johnson; her husband, John J. Sulga; and her brother, Claude Johnson.
Mary was baptized at St. Teresa’s church in Salem, and helped build the Catholic grade school there. In Villa Grove, Mary was a member of The Piecemakers quilting society of the Sacred Heart.
A memorial Mass and graveside services will be at Summit Prairie cemetery in Salem.
