Michelle L. Hawk, 57, of Villa Grove passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at her home.
Michelle was born to Jack Barrett and Joanna (LaFrance) Marrow. She married James Hawk on September 7, 2017 in Tuscola, IL.
She is survived by her loving husband of seven years, Jim Hawk; two children, Isaac (Hailey) Montgomery and Nathan Porter; her mother, Joanna Marrow; three siblings, Amanda Ziemnisky, Matthew (Kyle’) Barrett, and Mark (Candy) Barrett; one aunt, Rita (Noel) Hamilton, and one niece and nephew, Brittany (Mike) Barrett and Christian (Raegen) Ziemnisky.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Barrett; grandparents, one aunt, and one cousin.
Michelle graduated from Jamaica High School in 1985. She loved to go on vacations with her family to Florida, especially Tampa and Clearwater, and loved to spend time with her family camping and fishing. She was very artistic and enjoyed her time drawing. She loved all animals and was the kind of person that would give you the shirt off her back. Michelle also enjoyed playing computer games on her ipad like solitaire and scrabble. But over everything, she loved to spend time with her two boys Isaac and Nathan; they were her whole world. Michelle will truly be missed by all of her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the United Methodist Church in Villa Grove; Pastor Jon Brashear will be officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to her two sons, or to the Douglas County Humane Society.
