Morgan J. Harris, 24, of Newman (formerly of Tuscola) passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at her home in Newman, IL
Morgan was born on October 27, 1999 in Champaign, IL to Rebecca Conner.
She is survived by her loving parents, Andrew and Rebecca Conner; one daughter, Aurora Rose Miller; three siblings, Andrea Wolf-Conner, Alex Nale, and Edwin Conner; grandparents, Greg and Brenda Harris; one uncle, Thomas Benjamin Harris; and one aunt, Elizabeth Horath.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jason Haynes.
Morgan graduated from Tuscola High School and worked as a manager at the McDonalds in Tuscola. During her time at McDonalds, she had a huge impact on so many of the employees there. She was a great leader, trainer, and was always first to step up when someone needed help. She often gave other employees rides to work when needed.
Morgan loved her family and always enjoyed the times when they were all together. She was an amazing mom to Aurora. Whenever she talked about her daughter her whole presence would light up. She had such a contagious laugh and smile that would make everyone around her feel loved.
In high school Morgan had a love for music and played the flute and piccolo. Her love for music continued after high school as she would still play those instruments and enjoyed listening to any and all types of music; it brought her true joy. Morgan will be truly missed by all of her family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Joines Funeral Home in Villa Grove with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m.; Pastor Tony Crouch will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Murdock Cemetery.
