Myron K. Coslet, 65, of Murdock passed away peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2025 at his home.
Myron was born on November 23, 1959 in Urbana, IL to Donald and Miriam (Eads) Coslet. He married Tiffany Brown on April 30, 2016 in Murdock, IL.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tiffany Coslet; his mother, Miriam Coslet; two siblings, Debbie (Chuck) Deem and Paula (Dan) Deem; a niece; nephews; and two fur babies, Autumn and Felix.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Coslet; grandparents Calvin and Ethel Eads and Clark and Nora Coslet; and three fur babies, Jake, Hershey, and Duke.
Myron worked at Walnut Point State Park during the summer while he attended high school, and continued to work there even after high school. He also worked for the state for 28 years, served as Chief on the Murdock Fire Department, and volunteered at the Little Hall Food Pantry in Murdock. Myron loved to be outside enjoying nature, and was an avid Illini sports fan, St. Louis Cardinals fan, and enjoyed watching NASCAR.
The family would like to thank the Illinois Sheriff Department, Villa Grove Police, and First Responders for all their help with Myron.
A celebration of Myron’s life will be held at a later date.
