Nancy J. Genisio

Nancy J. Genisio, 61, of Villa Grove passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Nancy was born to James and Ilene (Foltz) Genisio on November 9, 1962 in Chrisman, IL. 

She is survived by her parents, Jim and Ilene Genisio; two children, Brandi Jackson and Jimmy Jackson; five grandchildren, Caiden, Chandler, Robbie, Dana, and Bella; two siblings, Roger Genisio and Carla Genisio; two nephews, Kirk and Kaleb; one niece, Carlaina; and her boyfriend, Bill Uptmor.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Charles Genisio; maternal grandmother, Doris King; and one uncle, Gene Foltz.

Nancy graduated from South Vermillion High School in 1981 and would go on to attend ITT Tech where she received an associate’s degree in photography.  With that degree she got a job at Barbara Foltz Studio in Clinton, IN as a photographer.  Later in life Nancy worked at Casey’s in Villa Grove, IL as the assistant manager.

No formal services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her parents, or the American Cancer Society.
