Nancy L. Michael

Nancy L. Michael, 88, of Newman passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at her home.

She was born on May 2, 1936 the daughter of John A. and Ethel B. (White) Michael in Decatur, IL.

After graduating from Newman High School, Nancy had a variety of influential jobs, namely seventeen years at First State Bank of Newman.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James Michael who died in the Vietnam War, her sister Mary Joanne Burke, her brother-in-law Barclay Burke, her niece Pamela Jo (Burke) Herriott, her nephew Michael A. Burke, and her cousin John Newlin.

Her survivors include her cousin Dick Newlin, nephew-in-law David Herriott, and several cousins.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024 at the Joines Funeral Home in Newman with a visitation being held and hour prior.  Burial will be at the Albin Cemetery.
