Nancy A. Powell

Nancy A. Powell, 81, of Villa Grove passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Haven of Arcola in Arcola, IL.

Nancy was born on August 14, 1943 in Tolono, IL to Chester and Elva (Clayton) Wilkerson.

She is survived by two sons, Keith and Mike Powell; four siblings, Arlene Jane Roberts of Villa Grove, Pamela Kirkland of Philo, James Wilkerson of Sidney; and Tom Wilkerson of Villa Grove; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Elva Wilkerson; and three sisters, Suzanne Wilkerson, Maria Champagne, and Sherry Jones.

Nancy lived in Pasadena, California, with her husband Orland for 47 years. She loved traveling across the country for her husband’s job in their semi-truck. She worked at Target as a merchandiser for 10 years. In her free time, she enjoyed thrift store shopping and sewing as a hobby.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday January 18, 2025 at the Murdock Cemetery with Pastor Mike Zylstra officiating.
