Patricia A. Helm, 89, of Camargo passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Willow Breeze Hospice House in Mattoon,
Pat was born on May 12, 1935 in Manitowoc, WI to Merrill and Viola (Fischer) Boucher. She married William Helm on July 20, 1953 in Camargo.
She is survived by one daughter, Terri Lawhead; three grandchildren, Belinda White, Mindy Davis, and Marcy Nevitt; five great-grandchildren, Alyssa Stillabower, Dustin White, Bryce Brown, Bryant Davis, and Della Nevitt; one great-great-grandson, Preston Adams; and faithful companion, Sancho.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merril and Viola Boucher; husband, William Helm; one daughter, Sherrie Helm; two sons, Robert and Scott Helm; and one sister.
Pat was a Key Punch Operator at the Illinois State Geological Survey in Urbana and a Travel Agent in her later years. She also worked at various stores at the Tuscola Outlet Mall. She was a dedicated farm wife who enjoyed her time gardening and traveling with her husband.
She was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church, Camargo United Methodist WSCS, Camargo Women’s Club Douglas County, Women’s Farm Bureau, Camargo Home Bureau, and former member of Jarman Hospital Auxiliary.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025 at the Joines Funeral Home in Villa Grove. Funeral service will be on Saturday, March 8 starting at 11 a.m. at the Camargo United Methodist Church; Pastor Lenny Summar and Pastor Bennett Woods will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Camargo Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
