Sally L. McNamara

Sally L. McNamara, 84, of Villa Grove passed Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Haven of Tuscola in Tuscola, IL.

Sally was born April 9, 1941 at Jarman Hospital in Tuscola to Carl and Helen (Whittington) Sigler.  Sally was the oldest of five children. She graduated from Villa Grove High School in 1960, and married Frank McNamara on April 25, 1968 in Champaign. The couple had one child, a son Robert McNamara.

Sally and Frank worked at Magnavox in Urbana and upon closing they moved to Fort Wayne, IN and worked at Magnavox. Later, Sally worked in the food industry working for Ziffles and Rally’s for 25 years. 

Sally and Frank belonged to the American Legion, Elks Lodge, and was a volunteer for numerous organizations. She served as an election judge for 30 plus years, and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Villa Grove. She loved traveling with Frank on their Gold Wing Honda and loved playing cards.

Sally leaves behind her son, Robert (Michelle) McNamara of Fort Wayne, IN; siblings, Dean (Pam) Sigler of Camargo, Larry (Joyce) Sigler of Charleston, and Janis Helm of Villa Grove; sister-in-law Mary Jo Sigler; and several nieces and nephews.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband Frank, brother Rex Sigler; sister-in-law Mary Kay Sigler; and brother-in-law Charles Helm

A graveside service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Murdock Cemetery. Deacon Gerry Flamm will be officiating.
