Shirley J. Bradbury

Shirley Jean Bradbury, 66 of Tuscola, gained her wings August 18, 2024 at Carle Hospital in Urbana.

Shirley was the daughter of Forrest Reed and Norma Brewer of Camargo. She graduated from Villa Grove High School and worked as a CNA before working many years at the Tuscola Casey’s General Store. She married Steve Bradbury of Tuscola on July 22, 1990 - spending the last 34 years together. 

Shirley enjoyed country music and visiting friends at Penn Station in Arthur.  She loved spending time with her animals and decorating the yard for the holidays. 

Surviving Shirley is her husband Steve Bradbury (Tuscola), brother Harold Reed (Wisconsin), step daughter Ashley Bradbury and grandson Desmond Burgess (Fairfield), grandsons Tyler and Robert Bradbury (Mattoon), mother-in-law Frances Sherrick (Villa Grove) and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family members.

Preceding Shirley in death are her parents, 2 brothers Mark and Randy Reed, step son Corey Bradbury and her beloved cat Precious.

A visitation will be held at Joines funeral home in Villa Grove Sunday August 25th, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. and a celebration of life Tuesday August 27th, 2024 at Penn Station in Arthur from 11-4 p.m.
