Terri J. Albin

Terri J. Albin, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Evergreen Place Assisted Living in Champaign.

She was born on February 18, 1956 in Tuscola, IL to Howard and Gloria (Holt) Albin. 

She is survived by two brothers, Mike (Debbie) Albin of Crossville, TN and Kenneth “Buster” Albin of Camargo; three nephews, Ross Albin of Margate, FL, Chris Birdsong of Jiaxing, China, and Dustin Birdsong of Carbondale; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles.

Terri graduated from Villa Grove High School in 1974 and would go on to graduate from Panama City Junior College in Panama City, FL and receive her associates degree in Marine Biology.  She also attended and graduated from Pensacola Liberty Bible College.  Terri worked various jobs throughout her life, a majority of those jobs were with the government.  The last job she had was working at the Meijer in Urbana as a door greeter. 

She was a member of the Harvest Church in Urbana.  Terri was a strong Christian woman who loved to not only read her bible, but truly study it.  Terri loved Florida, the ocean, and all of the sea life in it, and she also loved raising her goats.

Terri was diagnosed with cancer back in February and fought it until the very end.  The family would like to thank Terri’s family and friends, the Villa Grove class of 1974, her doctors at Carle and Christie Clinic, and the staff and many friends she had at Evergreen for all of their support. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the Joines Funeral Home in Villa Grove, Pastor Jon Callahan will be officiating.  Burial will follow at the Hugo Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
